Clean drinking water is essential for life and health. We totally under-appreciate how accessible water is in the Western World. Not convinced?…One trip to Niagara Falls ought to do the trick. The volume of water that goes over Niagara Falls is 150,000 gallons / 567,811 litres per second.

Liberia has had two major civil wars that devastated the country and their infrastructure. Currently there is no electricity outside the capital—not a single working traffic light in the entire country! Running water is available in select areas only and most private homes don’t have water. Most of the wells were destroyed or damaged during the civil wars. The wells that survived have either dried up or are contaminated with dangerous bacteria. People are forced to draw water from stagnant swamp or pond areas that cause them to be sick with diarrhea and various stomach issues.

Our goal is to provide 2 solar powered wells for Wein Town with a population of 10,000 people. The cost for the two wells is $10,000 USD or $13,500 CAD. This means that $1 USD or $1.35 CAD will provide clean, safe, sustainable drinking water for one person, for the rest of their life! $10,000 USD will provide clean, safe, sustainable drinking water for 10,000 people, for the rest of their lives!

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.
